Final drive ratio is too tall on m15.
Makes acceleration marginal on highway.
Can't hold top gear on moderate inclines (when doing 100km/hr).

2700rpm in top @ 100kph, I believe it needs around 3000rpm.
The final drive of the sport model (4.38), would be preferable to the stock (4.10).

I may feel this way having just sold my GTi.
It's all relative I guess.
Would certainly rather the lower final drive than go down the forced induction route.

Cheers,
Giddy.

^ this.

Kate and myself found that in her 2010 swift that we are backing down to 4th or even 3rd gear to get the car to do what her old 92 GTi (over 300,000km's old!) would do with ease in 5th. Put 5 small adults in it and you may aswell get out and push the car up a hill

Reviving an old thread, but the thing that annoys me about my 2008 Swift is that pressing the remote central locking button doesn't unlock ALL doors. First press only unlocks the driver's door. You need to do a second press to unlock the other doors and boot.

It is marketed as a "safety feature" and some people may prefer it that way, but I wish there was at least an option to change the behaviour of the remote to unlock all doors on the first press.

To top it off, I can't count the number of times I have gotten out of the car to go to the boot or one of the other doors, but those doors are still locked. You would think just press the remote unlock again and those will unlock, but of course that doesn't work if the Driver's Door is still open (which it often is when I quickly jump out to go to the boot or one of the other doors given I will soon be jumping back in).

Very annoying!

Other than that, love my Swift. Sold my Audi A4 S-Line to get my Swift - best vehicle decision I ever made.

2013 ZC32 Swift Sport (my new daily) things I don't like:

1. The 7200rpm rev limiter, when the previous model swings 7500rpm.

2. The front shocks compression could be a bit higher...rebound is ok.

3. The rear wheels could use a tiny bit of width...3/8 hub centric spacers do the trick nicely. It helps reduce the tendency to oversteer when lifting mid-corner.

4. The UK and some other markets got 17" rims whereas we were stuck with 16's. Their only saving grace is that they are ridiculously lightweight.

5. This is me now being picky but the tilt adjustment on the steering wheel is insufficient.
